AngelNews and Brown Shipley, the UK based private bank, have announced the creation of a major strategic partnership to support private investors and entrepreneurs in the UK.
Brown Shipley, which manages the wealth of high net worth private clients and AngelNews, the UK's largest community of business angels and entrepreneurs, will be working closely together to deliver advice and support to members of the UK's enterprise economy in the areas of wealth protection and asset management.
The strategic partnership will see Brown Shipley provide advice on strategies for investors to rebuild capital lost as a result of the credit crunch and for entrepreneurs to crystallize the wealth they are creating as they grow their businesses.
AngelNews has established itself as a key communicator of advice and support for the enterprise community in the UK and beyond in the last five years. This new agreement with Brown Shipley will take it into a new arena, focusing on personal wealth management, which will complement its existing delivery of advice in areas such as accountancy, law and other professional services.
Peter Collier, Marketing Strategy Director at Brown Shipley, said: “There is an extremely strong entrepreneurial spirit in the UK, but entrepreneurs need support at all stages of their lives from a range of advisers.
“This strategic partnership with AngelNews will enable us to offer that support, helping them build their personal balance sheet, at the same time as they build the asset value of their businesses. We look forward to offering our skills to this vitally important area of UK business growth.”
Modwenna Rees-Mogg, CEO and founder of AngelNews, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Brown Shipley on this initiative. Its approach and philosophy closely matches that of our community and the opportunity for our investors and entrepreneurs.
“Over the past 12 months we have seen many investors seriously affected by the credit crunch. During that time we have been planning this initiative with Brown Shipley, and following seeing its team of asset managers work closely with private clients to minimize their losses and set in place recovery strategies, we are very confident in the success and effectiveness of this strategic partnership. Brown Shipley's team will now be available to our entire community and we believe that together we will bring thought leadership to the enterprise community in the area of wealth management.”
Brown Shipley and AngelNews will be working together on a series of initiatives under the partnership including advice delivered via the AngelNews series of publications including the AngelNewsletter Online, Wing Tips and AN – Making Life Richer. They will also hold a number of joint events around the UK to which entrepreneurs and investors will be invited. Themes that will be covered will cross all areas of private client asset management.
